Freight Forwarding

FTL Services

FTL (Full Truckload) services are a type of transportation service in which a truck is fully loaded with goods from a single shipper and delivered to a single consignee. The entire truck is dedicated to the shipment, meaning that the shipper has exclusive use of the entire truck and pays for the entire capacity of the truck, whether it is fully loaded or not.

FTL shipping is typically used for large shipments that fill an entire truck, such as palletized freight, bulk goods, or oversized items. It is a cost-effective option for businesses that need to move large quantities of goods over long distances.

LTL Services

LTL (Less Than Truckload) services are a type of transportation service in which multiple smaller shipments from different shippers are consolidated onto a single truck for delivery to multiple consignees. This allows businesses to move smaller quantities of goods more cost-effectively than if they were to use a full truckload service, known as FTL (Full Truckload).

In LTL shipping, the shipper typically pays for only the space that their goods occupy on the truck, rather than the entire capacity of the truck. This can make LTL shipping a more cost-effective option for businesses that need to move smaller quantities of goods over shorter distances or for businesses that need to move a variety of different products at the same time.

Tailgate Services

Tailgate services refer to the process of loading and unloading freight from a truck using a liftgate, a mechanical platform that can be raised and lowered at the back of a truck. A liftgate is typically used to move heavy or bulky freight that cannot be loaded or unloaded by hand.

Tailgate delivery service is typically offered as an additional service by trucking companies and is often used when the receiving location does not have a loading dock or forklift to unload the freight. The driver uses the lift gate to lower the freight to the ground, and the receiving party is responsible for moving the freight from the curb to their location.

Tailgate service is most used for larger items such as appliances, furniture, or large pallets of goods that are too heavy to be loaded or unloaded by hand. It’s a great option for businesses that need to move heavy or bulky items but don’t have the equipment or resources to unload them themselves.
